We see a lot of tournaments with a name, but no theme. It’s usually something like a scholarship fund, alumni raising money for a school, or a memorial event with fundraising dollars going toward research or helping families pay off expensive medical treatments.
But then sometimes we see a theme come through that really catches our eye. Themed golf events often double as fundraisers; the theme just helps make it a little more memorable.
So we’ve dug through our files and found some of the most memorable, most fun, and sometimes most quirky themes for women’s golf events.

Fundraiser golf event theme ideas for women
If you’re planning a golf fundraising event, you can incorporate any theme you wish. However, there are some plays on words that fit specific fundraisers and awareness events.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Whether your club or group is involved with Play for P.I.N.K. or you’re planning your own event, here are some clever themes for breast cancer awareness fundraising golf events:

Golf memorial fundraiser themes
There is no way to define a specific list of themes for memorial golf events. However, one clever way to “theme” the event would be to honor the person or group of people the tournament is in memory of.
For example, if they loved watching football, make it a tailgate theme. Were they a glam diva? Incorporate those elements. When planning the event, have a brainstorming session to come up with some ideas as to what that person was passionate about, and what difference they made.

We are a 9 hole group who does an invitational every year. Two of our most fun rhemes were Around the World in NineTee Days and Dog Patch, patterned after the Lil Abner funnies.
Our club did “Somewhere over the rainbow”, a Wizard of Oz theme., ‘Pirates of the Canyon” (Our club name is Canyon Oaks CC.) , “Life and Times of TV”, “Springtime in the Canyon” , “Movie Magic”, and “Canyon Bandstand”, just to name a few. We have been having Invitational tournaments for over 20years and everyone LOVES coming to our tournaments. The rest of our tournaments are similar to the ones on the list you have on the website.
We just had our member guest tournament snd the theme was Swing With Bling. 92 women and most had Bling Shirts, Skirts, or Hats. It was so much fun.

Last month we had casino day on the course. The outfits for that were fantastic.
